USF Bulls Football WIN Big Game!

On Friday evening the USF Bulls took on No. 5 ranked W. Virginia here in Tampa. It was a sold out crowd at just over 67,000 people. Our friends Christy and Crosby from Ft. Myers bought a block of tickets and we all went together. The game was so much fun and very intense as they only won by one touchdown, 21-13. It was a big upset. Below are some pictures I took with my camera phone which didn't turn out that great, but at least you can get an idea of the crowd.

The field was charged by students after the victory. They were acting insane! It was extremely exciting though for a school that only has had a football team since 1997. Oh- and did I mention it's my alma mater :)

A Trip to Chicago to see OPRAH!

After all the years of trying hopelessly to get audience tickets to the Oprah Winfrey show I finally got the chance to attend a taping. My good friend Ericka (seen to my right in the picture) was called by Harpo Studios and invited to be a guest on the show. They were talking about women's health issues. They were nice enough to let her bring 3 guests with her and she asked me and two other friends from work, Kim and Kat, to go too. They even sent a limo for us to and from the airport and to and from the show taping! It was so AWESOME and the chance of a lifetime. The show we taped, which actually ended up being 2 tapings, was on women's health issues and featured Dr. Christiane Northrup. It is supposed to air the week of October 16th sometime. It was such a great time and I cannot thank Ericka enough for asking me to go.
Kim, Stef, Ericka, Kat- This was taken ouside of the studio and next to the special entrance we got to enter through since Ericka was a guest. We got special treatment :)

Kim, Stef and Ericka- In the limo on our way from the hotel to the studio. We were trying to keep things light and fun to help Ericka from being nervous.

A Walk For Sunshine

Last weekend we spent the weekend in Toledo visiting Todd's family, friends and participating in the 10th Annual Walk For Sunshine. Each year Todd's brother Jeff organizes a 3 mile walk to benefit The Sunshine Home, which is where their brother Aaron lives. Jeff has also written a book on his experience hiking the Appalachain Trail, which he also did to raise money for Sunshine. Everyone who wants a little bit of inspiration should read his book titled, A Walk For Sunshine. The walk was a great turn out and really great to see everyone. It rained pretty much the whole time we were there but we still had a good time, AND the rain did hold off for the walk on Saturday morning :) We hope to make it back again next year.

Todd's dad and stepmom with Aaron holding Mollie their dog during the walk. I think she got tired of walking :)

Here we are at the walk with brother Aaron. He was so excited for this day!

Visiting the Budweiser distribution warehouse where Todd's friend "BudMan" works. This was pretty cool. They had their own bar right in the office conference center which is where we are in this photo. We've never seen so much beer in one place!

Enjoying time with our new nephew, William. He is such a sweet baby.

September Already???

September marks the first year that we have been in our house. It seems like just yesterday that we were moving in here. We are still in the planning process of doing more to the house to make it just the way we want it, but here are a couple photos of the outside front and back of the house. Our grass has FINALLY rallied and is greener than ever. We never thought that would happen but with a ton of fertilizer and all the rain we have had, it's finally GREEN! Now we are just looking forward to the start of fall.

Meet My Little Cousin!

A few weeks ago I made a trip to Sarasota to visit my cousin Blythe and her baby Parker. He is 6 months old. Isn't he just the cutest thing you've ever seen? We played and I helped his mommy and daddy install his new car seat. It was a great visit and I can't wait to see him again.

Here we are placing him in his new and improved car seat. He seemed to like it :)
