Our First Mother's Day

The biggest blessing in my life is to be Katelyn's mommy. She is truly our little miracle and it becomes more joyous everyday to be her mother. There are so many dreams I have for my little girl that only a mom could know and I thank God for every day I have with her to watch her grow and blossom. She is a beautiful baby who is sweet, happy, very smart, active and is already showing us sass that challenges her parents every day. I wouldn't change ANY of it for the world. Katelyn loves everyone she meets and greets them with the warmest, cutest smile anyone could imagine. The dimple in her chin helps say it all :) I look forward to growing with my baby and celebrating many of mother's days with her.
A big thanks to my wonderful mother who is always there for me and for Katelyn. I am so grateful everyday for her and the unconditional love she shows both of us. Thank you for fixing such a beautiful mother's day brunch to celebrate our 3 generations! I love you and so does your grandbaby.

Starting solid foods!

When we went to the Pediatrician for Katelyn's 4 month check up they gave us the green light to start solid foods. We are starting with Rice cereal which she is not too sure about. It's only been a couple of days and each feeding she does better, but I think she definitely gets more on her face and clothes than in her mouth at this point. Oh yeah and not to mention she figured out today that if she puckers her lips and blows that it goes all over! Daddy says we need to drape a tarp around her to pick up the messes:) There won't be a tarp but there will definitely be a lot of bibs used. She really is so cute and so very curious. In fact her nickname should be Curious George because she doesn't want to miss a beat!

Here is the cereal coming back out faster than we could put it in :)

She does like to sit in her big girl high chair.

The past several weeks we have been participating in an infant massage class here at our house. Three other mommies and their babies have been joining us and today was the last day of class. We had a nice luncheon after class and the babies spent some time together. This is Katelyn's new little friend who lives in our neighborhood. They are so cute!

More Pictures

Below are some more random pictures taken of Katelyn and Meg. Our poor little doggie developed an ear hematoma and had surgery on it this past week. She has been so pitiful this week but is starting to feel better. The bandages below come off on Monday which will make her a very happy camper.

Who can resist this angelic face???

As you will see here her foot is coming up into the picture. That is because she has found her feet and tries to pull them up to her face. She hasn't gotten them there yet but I imagine it won't be long.

Play time!

This is one of Katelyn's new toys, her activity saucer. At first she wasn't quite sure what to make of it but by the second time we put her in it she was reaching for the different toys and objects on it and obviously enjoying her time in it as you will see below.

What a big girl :)

Katelyn is 4 months old!

We can hardly believe our little girl is already 4 months old. The time has gone by so quickly. She went for her 4 month check up and the doctor said she looks great! She weighed 14 lbs and is 24 inches long. She even rolled over on the exam table to show off for the doctor. Mommy was so proud! She is changing more everyday and is getting quite a personality. She is still very sweet but is starting to get quite feisty when she wants to. I guess she takes after her parents :) Below are some pictures we took around the house one day.

Katelyn still loves her bath time and as you can see is starting to fill up her baby tub very well.

Her hands are in her mouth at ALL times!

She was being really cute in her crib and I couldn't resist taking these pictures.

Here she was having a full conversation with me.

Happy baby!

Katelyn's First Easter- 2010

Our first Easter with Katelyn was very nice. We had family and friends at our house for the holiday and I don't think Katelyn sat by herself at all that day. She is very loved! She received several Easter baskets and stuffed bunnies. It was a very nice day.

Here is Katelyn with Grandma Di and Aunt Steph. Grandma Rose is in the background. She had her bunny dress on all dressed for the occasion.

Look at those chunky cheeks!
