Halloween Party!

On Saturday we were invited to a neighborhood Halloween/Poker Party. We met some really great people in our neighborhood when we became part of the community pool committee. Here are some pictures of us with some of our friends/neighbors at the party. Thanks to Kirk and Heather for hosting the party.

Can you guess who???? Some of you know the story of our community pool problems, one of which included a "mystery" person who kept leaving, well...you know, in our pool. It was disgusting! So, since this was a neighborhood party with our pool committe friends, this was Todd's costume.

Happy Birthday Todd and Rose!

Last Saturday, 10/20, was Todd and his mom Rose's birthday. Each year we celebrate together since they were born on the same day... several years apart that is :) This year we went to dinner at Bonefish Grill and then to his mom's house for cake and presents. Below are some pictures of the cake I got for him. I felt it was the perfect year to have a guitar cake since it's the year his self titled album is being released. It turned out really great, and tasted amazing. It seemed to be a guitar themed kind of birthday because his sister found him this huge rug for his music room that had all different kinds of guitars on it.

Meg and Stef's mom's dog Jasmine LOVE each other! Here are a few pictures taken while they were determining who was the alpha dog. As you can see in the first picture... I think Meg won :) They are really funny to watch and get very excited to see each other.

The Newest Member of the Alt Family!

On Friday we picked up our new "baby!" Her name is Meg and she is 5 years old. We adopted her from the Golden Retriever Rescue of Mid-Florida. She is just a sweetie and a true "retriever" at heart. She loves to play fetch with a tennis ball and will bring it right back to you. She has been aclimating very nicely and has made herself right at home here :) She also LOVES to walk around the house holding a ball or stuffed animal in her mouth. She is very good natured and seems to like everyone we come in contact with. She wasn't too happy when the yard men were cutting the grass in the common area yesterday behind our house, so I think she will also be a great watch dog. Please join us in welcoming her to the family!
